Chef/Owner Tript Dhillon moved to New Zealand 14 years ago to study and develop his skills in the culinary arts. Over the years, he has played a key role in helping to establish some of the top restaurants and cafes in Auckland and Wellington, mastering a range of cuisines including Asian, French, Middle Eastern and Italian.
In 2020, Tript took the next step in his journey by opening his first restaurant- Balter Bar & Kitchen in Wairarapa, followed by a second- The Good Spot Eatery in 2023 - both of which have quickly become beloved local favourites. His passion for food, creativity, and commitment to excellence naturally led him to launch Balter Catering in 2022. Since then, the team has proudly catered for numerous weddings and private events across the region.
